Hands-free Autumn

Fall has crept up on me like she always does. I tell myself every year that I will take full advantage of the fall and do as many things as possible to enjoy the season instead of letting it become a huge whirlwind of preparation for the holidays (which also creep up on me no matter how much I prepare.)

One of my personal Fall traditions is to buy a new handbag. Since having my little one, I have to say that my seasonal bag purchases have dwindled down to zero. But I have made a few promises to myself to get back to some of the things I did before becoming a Momma. And this tradition is a fun one!

Previously, I tried to limit myself to no more than four bags a year. As I moved up in my career, I got a little lax with the rules and made it that I wouldn’t buy more than 4 bags a year that cost more than $300. This helped me make sure I actually used the bags and don’t feel like my closet is overflowing with trendy, impulse buys where I don’t get my money’s worth. (And if I do make an impulse buy, I won’t feel too guilty because I didn’t spend too much).

Here are my semi-finalists for this season. I feel like I can get away with getting two because some of these are pretty affordable as far as real leather bags go. What do you think?
